Meet your photographer:
Hello there! I’m Brian. I was born in Trois-Rivières, Québec (Ben oui, je suis francophone!), and I moved in the beautiful area of Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2022.
I love to be a part of these moments that means the most in our journey. My philosophy begins with the idea that everyone is awesome. I love interaction and complexity between people when I take photographs, and I like to keep things natural. Our lives are coloured with emotions, and I want people to feel these as they come, and to be themselves as human beings.
After many years of professional experience capturing meaningful events in people’s life, nature and streets, I fell in love with wedding photography a few years ago. I believe each story is beautiful and unique, deserving a distinctive approach. With that being said, people from any culture or identity are welcome. Love always wins.
I want people to feel that I do more than just taking good photos, so let’s team up, have fun, and write your beautiful story together.
Bio:
I grew up in Trois-Rivières, Qc, Canada. I discovered photography around 18 years old, first experimenting with a point and shoot camera until I decided to study professional photography between 2007-2009. Seeking for a deeper meaning to my life, new challenges in life, and influenced by things happening in the world at the time, I joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Medical Technician in 2011. It is while deployed in Iraq in 2019 that photography came back to me with a powerful desire to become a much bigger part of my life. So I started to shoot more and more, document everything around me, and then started to grow a modest photography business when I returned home. I realized that being a Medical Technician was no longer for me.
It was then in 2024 that my volunteer occupational transfer for Imagery Technician was finally accepted, which allowed me to grow fully as a photographer both within and outside the CAF.
My ambitions are to become better, to learn videography and make it a part of my skill set, travel, and adopt all the cats.
